About This Blog

Hello Cardlovers! I am Deepthi, a mom of 3 year-old son and a soon to arrive baby! A busy mom with interests in paper crafts ever since I was child. A graduate in Environmental Engineering, I never got the chance to explore my interest in learning the craft until motherhood came along. I love handmade cards, giving gifts, and writing a letter rather than sending an email. So I made this site "Card-a-Mom" - a place for my handmade cards based on my inspirations throughout the world of internet. I just started card making and am constantly learning new techniques in paper crafting. Please leave your suggestions/comments as you explore my blog. Welcome to my space!

Happy Independence Day!!

Made my 3 yr old sort the 3 colors of the National flag..a fun thing for the little  hands !

He glued the tri coloured thermocol balls on to the adhesive backed acetate/OHP sheet.

I was told by a kindergarten teacher that picking up, holding  bit size grains, pebbles or  any thing of that size with their fingers will improve their ability to hold the pencil and their handwriting skills.

So we started it with making a National Flag! My 3 yr old did it all by himself and was very happy as it had ice cream sticks too!

My son had a health week going on  and so we made a healthy-green-flag. The top row had Masoor dal- orange, centre- Sabudana/sago/tapioca, last row had green gram/moong dal- green.
Happy Independence Day!!
